The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, will participate in the "Berlin International Green Week" in Germany, from 21 to 23 January, as found in Estadão/Broadcast. He was invited by the organization of the event, which is focused on the debate of the future of agriculture and the food industry with a focus on sustainability. It will be his first international trip as minister.
The idea, according to technicians of the folder, is to show the new position of the Brazilian government in agricultural-environmental management to one of the most demanding countries in the sector and amid discussions of a stricter environmental law by the European Union, which can restrict Brazilian agricultural exports to the bloc. In addition to Fávaro, about 70 other agriculture ministers are expected at the event.
Fávaro will also share the decision of the trip with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Initially, he would not want to step aside early in his administration, but was advised to go by Brazil's agricultural attaché in Germany, interlocutors close to the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock said. The Secretary of Commerce and International Relations of the ministry, Roberto Perosa, will accompany Fávaro in the entourage.
In addition to the presence of the Minister of Agriculture
