L'Oréal Brasil announced this week that it had achieved carbon neutrality in the operation of its units in Brazil. The company reached the target three years before the goal set by the Group globally with the initiatives of the L'Oréal For the Future commitment, which brings significant objectives that must be met by 2030.

"It is with great pride that we have achieved this goal so important within our purpose of creating the beauty that moves the world in a more sustainable and inclusive way. We know that we still have a long way to go, but today's achievement gives us confidence that we are in the right direction and we will be able to achieve all the goals we have outlined," says Marcelo Zimet, CEO of the company in Brazil.

In brazil, L'Oréal has four units in sustainable operation. In addition to the plant, which has just achieved carbon neutrality through the inclusion of biomethane gas in its energy matrix, the company has three other facilities that already use 100% of energy from renewable sources: Distribution Center (Jarinu -- SP), Administrative Headquarters and the Innovation Research Center (Innova), both in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

In Brazil, L'Oréal owns 21 brands: L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline, Garnier, Niely, Colorama, Kérastase, L'Oréal Professionnel, RedKen, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, CeraVe, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Urban Decay, Cacharel, Prada, A Mugro and Mugler.
