The use of corn for ethanol production in the United States totaled 10.16 million tons in February. The volume represents a decrease of 9% compared to the previous month and 2% compared to February 2022. The data was released by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

Total corn consumption in the country for alcohols and other purposes was 11.28 million tons in February, down 10 percent from January and 3 percent from February 2022. Of the total, 91.9% were destined for the production of alcohols and 8.1% for other purposes.
