China rehabilitates Brazilian refrigerators and moves livestock market
sexta-feira, fevereiro 10, 2023
In January, China rehabilitated to import two poultry and one cattle refrigerators from Brazil. This situation impacts the national productive sector as a whole. That's because one of the tips of the chain is the supply of animal nutrition.
On this theme that helps move the national livestock market - with more refrigerators being able to send products to China - the managing partner of FNF Ingredients Brazil, Alexandre Camargo Costa, was interviewed by Canal Rural. Directly from the studios of the station in São Paulo, he participated in the edition of this Thursday (9) the television news 'Mercado & Companhia'.
In answering the first question of the presenter and journalist Flávia Macedo, Costa stressed that the suspension of some refrigerators is not always due to purely sanitary issues. "There are political and economic factors on many occasions," he noted.
"It's a form of negotiation" — Alexandre Camargo Costa
"This happens from time to time in some plants. Some markets, like China, end up using this," he said. "It's a form of negotiation," the interviewee endorsed.
Livestock market: health, genetics and food issues
Alexandre Camargo Costa took advantage of the interview to emphasize that the livestock market - in Brazil and worldwide - is composed of a tripod: sanitary issues, genetic values and, finally, food. In this sense, the executive of FNF Ingredients Brazil points out that sometimes the "cheap comes out expensive" in an attempt to save on animal nutrition. This situation indicates that it is complicated, because it is aware that this part corresponds to 70% to 80% of the cost of production.
"You can try to save a little, try to reduce an additive, but surely the animal will feel" — Alexandre Camargo Costa
"Without supplementing you with vitamins, the animal can't achieve its full performance," he said. "You can try to save a little, try to reduce an additive, but for sure the animal will feel it."
