Startup JUA Technologies International (JTI) has created a solar dehydrator that preserves nutrients and extends food life. With technology family farmers can dry and dehydrate fresh food, using only solar energy. Dubbed the dehytray, the equipment doubles the external temperature to capture solar energy. 

Food remains protected from contamination of dust, allergens and pests. The goal of creation is to avoid the waste of agricultural products that were once spoiled. This is an important issue of global food security, as 80% of food is produced in Asia and Africa and because of hunger, some people become more likely to consume spoiled or contaminated food.

Harvest dehydration is one of the best ways to preserve nutrients and extend food life, manufacturers say.
