The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) released projections for the poultry and pig sectors. Brazil is expected to close the year taking second place among the world's largest producers of chicken meat, surpassing China and second only to the United States.

The opening of new markets for Brazilian pork, such as Mexico and Canada, is expected to boost protein exports in 2023.
