The city of São Paulo will host an unprecedented event in Brazil to discuss business opportunities and the viability of green hydrogen as the main Net Zero solution on November 9 and 10. Hydrogen Dialogue is an initiative of NürnbergMesse Brasil, HiriaNürnberg Messe, Guia Marítimo and Câmara Brasil-Alemanha de São Paulo (AHK São Paulo).

Available in face-to-face or online formats, the meeting will bring workshops and lectures with some of the main names in the segment of energy, sustainability, research and formulation of public policies. The program will address case studies, production feasibility, logistics, certifications, storage, transportation and financing.

Speakers include Paulo Alvarenga, CEO of thyssenkrupp South America and Vice President of AHK São Paulo; Guilherme Arantes, Manager responsible for the sector and regulatory studies of electricity at BNDES; and Ricardo Horiuchi, Innovation Consultant at Clarivate Analytics.

"When we think of the future, we need to think of a clean fuel. And that is the goal of hydrogen dialogue LATAM, to bring together the main representatives of each link in this chain. We have to address not only the challenges, but also the opportunities that green hydrogen brings," said Diego de Carvalho, vice president of NürnbergMesse Brasil.

NürnbergMesse and AHK São Paulo joined forces to amplify discussions on the subject in Brazil. Thus, this year's edition of the already traditional Brazil-Germany Congress of Green Hydrogen was incorporated into the event.

"Brazil has the potential to become one of the largest producers of green hydrogen in the world. In recent years, we have fostered the discussion of market trends in this area to enhance the opportunities for cooperation between industry, financial sector and academic institutions to enable the energy transition in Brazil through the promotion of renewable energies", said Bruno Vath Zarpellon, Director of Innovation and Sustainability at AHK São Paulo.

The event is also organized in partnership with Hiria, nürnbergMesse's educational content solutions company. According to Vinnicius Vieira, a partner at Hiria, one of the main topics discussed in the LATAM Hydrogen Dialogue will be the importance of creating a regulatory framework in Brazil. "Green hydrogen production is a long-term investment. We're talking 10 to 15 years. For this, we need a set of laws that regulate the sector and allow its development", he explained.
