Companies in the fields of fruits, honey, acai, beverages, sugar, nuts and animal protein participate in a mission of the Agro.BR to Singapore. The trip is scheduled to take place from September 3-11. The initiative is part of the project that is led by the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA), in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for The Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil). The mission will be coordinated by the CNA.
The objective of the commercial mission is to present the characteristics and particularities of the market in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries to Brazilian producers, cooperatives and agro-industrial companies enrolled in the Agro.BR. The program includes guided tours of Food and Hotel Asia (FHA), Asia's largest food and beverage fair, meeting schedule sands and training, as well as business meetings with potential local buyers.

The schedule begins on the 6th, with the realization of business rounds and agenda with potential buyers in fha. On The 7th, in addition to the negotiating tables, the group will meet with the CNA representative in Singapore to present the strategy of action in the market and in Southeast Asia and will participate in the "Brazil Day", in commemoration of Independence Day.
On September 8, business owners continue their agenda at Food and Hotel Asia and visit two local supermarkets. On Friday (9) and Saturday (10), the group participates in meetings with sector associations and conduct technical visits to restaurants and distribution points focusing on the products of companies. On Sunday (11), the group returns to Brazil.
According to CNA's trade promotion advisor Camila Sande, who will accompany the Group of Brazilian Agribusiness Entrepreneurs, the Asian market has great potential for agro products and Singapore is a strategic region for business with potential buyers. "Singapore is the gateway to the Southeast Asian market and the strategic contacts that will be made during the mission and the Food and Hotel Asia Fair will be key to business development in the region."
Products exported by Brazil
Currently, the main Brazilian agricultural products exported to Singapore are two:
- Fresh meat (chicken, pork and beef);
- Soluble coffee.
With the mission that will bring agro entrepreneurs to the Asian country, the Agro.BR Project seeks to diversify this agenda, including other products, especially food, produced by Brazil, Camila said.
