Russian President Vladimir Putin reinforced the country's commitment to fertilizer deliveries to Brazil during a phone call with President Jair Bolsonaro. The information was confirmed by means of a statement released on Monday (27) by the Kremlin, the russian government's office.

Amid concerns about Russian fertilizer exports because of the war in Ukraine, Putin assured Brazilian agribusiness "uninterrupted supply" of fertilizers, the statement said.

Strategic partnership

The Kremlin also said the representatives addressed the "mutual commitment" to "strengthen the strategic partnership" between Brazil and Russia in order to expand cooperation in sectors such as energy and agriculture.

Finally, the Russian government said that Putin and Bolsonaro talked about Brazil's rotating presidency at the United Nations Security Council (UN), which begins on July 1.

According to the statement, the presidents agreed to maintain "contact at various levels."
