Company creates insecticide based on RNA

Insecticides are agricultural pesticides used in farming, for prevention and control of pests and insects. It is used in agriculture, medicine, industry and residential consumers (to kill insect). The emergence of new insecticides occurred due to the need to create products that are not toxic. Thinking about it, an American company created an Insecticide based on RNA.
GreenLight Biosciences in the United States has created the "sweet gel", this type of insecticide contains double-tapEd RNA, derived from a virus. RNA is a nucleic acid, this molecule is essential in protein synthesis. The new insecticide has already been tested on hives and is supposedly harmless to bees. With the use of the pesticide the bees are free of the Varroa destructor (mite that attacks the hives). The product causes infertility in the parasite, which is considered an agricultural problem and affects bees.
A study conducted by Stanford University states that RNA spreads a liquid in the blood of bees, if ingested by mites, they are exterminated. The product will still pass the approval of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which is responsible for regulating pesticides, before it hits the shelves.
