Biogénesis Bagó exclusively brings to Brazil the rapid tests for pregnancy diagnosis in cows and for the diagnosis of bovine viral diarrhea. The method can be used with 99% accuracy.

The technology, unprecedented in the country, was developed by IDEXX Laboratories, the world's leading company in veterinary diagnosis.

When compared to the more traditional diagnostic techniques, both in detecting the pregnancy of cows and in the detection of infected animals and in the case of bovine viral diarrhea, the new technologies will provide more practicality and ease to the producer and veterinarians, especially for small and medium herds.

According to the national marketing manager of Biogénesis Bagó, Carlos Godoy, the company will make available to the market the most modern rapid diagnostic tests in the world. "A new model of offering brazilian producers and technicians the best, easiest and fastest way to make decisions in the face of livestock challenges. Data from the last census show that 35% of the number of bovine heads in Brazil belongs to small and medium-sized producers who, in turn, cannot be assisted by technicians or professionals specialized in diagnosis. It is important to note that this same segment is responsible for 64% of milk production in the country."

Biogénesis Bagó will be the exclusive distributor of IDEXX in Brazil with the rapid pregnancy diagnosis test, the BVD virus detection test in persistently infected animals and the diagnostic tests of bovine tuberculosis and serological detection of antibodies against brucellosis. These will be the first in a series that are being scheduled to be released in the short and medium term. All can be marketed to cut and milk producers, veterinarians and technicians, through partner resales throughout Brazil.
