Brazil to export Brahman animals to Cambodia
quarta-feira, abril 06, 2022
Brahman animals selected by breeding sites from Brazil will soon be exported to Cambodia, a southeast Asian country. Twenty-two central and donor bulls were acquired by the company i7 Ranch, based in the capital Phnom Penh and which operates in the creation and marketing of Brahman and Nelore for various regions of Asia. It will be the first import of Brazilian Brahman by the creation that, until then, had as the basis of its squad the American and Australian Brahman.
Most of the specimens were acquired during the 7th Primavera Casa Branca Auction, held in September 2021, 15 females and males from casa Branca Agropastoril, located in Silvianópolis/MG, and a bull from Brahman Catedral, in Natércia/MG.
30,000 doses of semen from five Brahman bulls are still being collected for export to Cambodia. "Animals consecrated in Brazil and traditional breeding will be exported, and many specimens have been awarded in exhibitions. We will have the opportunity to show the quality of Brazilian cattle and how our genetics can contribute to the advance of Cambodian livestock," said Antônio Carlos Pinheiro Machado Júnior, director of Pinheiro Machado Livestock, the company responsible for negotiations between Brazilian farms and i7 Ranch.
The specimens are already in pre-quarennay at the experimental farm of the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ), in Uberaba/MG, where they will remain until the four-year period required by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, which will precede shipment, scheduled for the second half of 2022.
The president of the Brahman Breeders' Association (ACBB), Paulo Sérgio Scatolin, points out that the opening of trade with Cambodia proves the growing demand for The Brazilian Brahman. "Brazilian breeders have been committed to selecting early, docile, rustic animals with excellent carcass, but preserving the racial pattern, which has attracted buyers from several countries," Says Scatolin.
For the breeding participants in this export, Brahman genetics will contribute to the sustainability of Cambodian livestock, as it allows the production of early, rustic and good carcass finishing animals. "I believe that the Brazilian Brahman has a lot to contribute to Cambodia, because they have acquired the best here, pinched great animals with genetic potential as our national champion MCNS CATEDRAL 20", highlights the creator Matã Nacácio, brahman Catedral.
According to the breeder Paulo Marques, owner of Casa Branca Agropastoril, among the animals of his farm selected for export is the Reserved Great Champion of ExpoBrahman 2021, CABR Theodora 3047/3. "The White House Agropastoril twice won the Brahman World Champion championship. We have already exported live animals to Paraguay, but to Cambodia it is the first time," he believes.
