Climate change is seen as the main threat to agribusiness companies worldwide, according to the Allianz Risk Barometer 2022 report, recently published by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

In all, 65% of the survey participants stated that the consequences of phenomena such as global warming are a major risk to business stability.

Secondly, there is the risk of natural disasters (42%), such as floods, earthquakes and fires. In the third place, the risk of business interruption (29%), followed by environmental risks (29%), such as pollution, and explosion (29%).

The eleventh annual Allianz Risk Barometer survey was conducted with 2,650 respondents (17 of them from the agribusiness segment) among CEOs, risk managers, brokers and insurance experts from 89 countries.
